Availability: Paediatric ultrasound is not offered at all clinics. Our bookings team will advise on the nearest clinic where your child’s scan can be performed.

Before the Scan

  • Follow any preparation instructions given by your doctor or our bookings team (e.g., fasting, full bladder)

  • Bring your child’s referral and any relevant medical history

During the Scan

  • Your child may lie or sit on the ultrasound bed depending on the area being scanned

  • Gel will be applied to the skin for clear imaging

  • The scan is painless and usually completed within 15–30 minutes

After the Scan

  • Your child can resume normal activities immediately

The radiologist will review the images and send a report to your referring doctor
