Availability: Paediatric imaging services are not offered at all clinics. Our bookings team will advise on the nearest clinic equipped to safely perform your child’s scan.

Before the Scan

During the Scan
- Your child will be positioned depending on the type of scan being performed
- Our team will explain each step in a calm and reassuring way
- Most scans are painless, though some may require your child to remain still for a short period
- Parents or guardians are usually able to stay with their child during the scan
After the Scan
- Most children can resume normal activities immediately
- If contrast or sedation was required, additional instructions may be provided
- The radiologist will review the images and send a report to your referring doctor

Most paediatric imaging services are bulk billed for eligible patients with a valid GP or specialist referral.
Some specialised scans may involve additional fees depending on the type of imaging required.
