Dr. Patrick Bergin
Patrick is co-founder and director of Queensland Radiology Specialists. He is an MRI fellowship trained Tier B interventional radiologist with extensive experience in both private and public practice in Queensland and around Australia. He has trained in CT colonoscopy, CT coronary angiography, RF ablation, and is experienced in women’s imaging including mammography and stereotactic procedures.
Patrick is a former Director of Radiology at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital Brisbane and was a member of the medical advisory committee for the same hospital for several years. He has been involved in cancer imaging for many years and was involved in the early stages of the Princess Alexandra Hospital first Multidisciplinary Brain tumour meeting. He was also involved with the great team that established the St Vincent’s Northside Breast Centre.
He was MRI supervising radiologist at both Holy Spirit Northside Hospital (now renamed St Vincent’s Northside Hospital) Chermside and St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital Brisbane. He has been an associate lecturer at James Cook University, University of Queensland and Flinders University helping to train registrars and medical students. He has published research in peer reviewed journals and given national and international teaching and research presentations.
