Before Your Scan

  • You may need to remove metal objects or jewellery
  • Certain scans require fasting or contrast injection
  • Inform our team if you have implants, pacemakers, or claustrophobia

During the Scan

  • You lie comfortably on the MRI table
  • The scanner uses magnets and radio waves (no radiation)
  • Scans typically take 20–60 minutes depending on the study
  • The procedure is painless but can be noisy; ear protection is provided

After the Scan

  • You can usually return to normal activities immediately
  • Your radiologist reviews the images and sends a report directly to your referring doctor

MRI Costs & Billing

MRI scan costs vary depending on:

  • The type of MRI study (joint, spine, brain, cardiac, whole-body, etc.)
  • Clinic location and regional pricing
  • Use of contrast or specialised sequences

We do not bulk bill MRI scans.
