Dr. Patrick Bergin

Dr. Patrick Bergin

Patrick is co-founder and director of Queensland Radiology Specialists. He is an MRI fellowship trained Tier B interventional radiologist with extensive experience in both private and public practice in Queensland and around Australia. He has trained in CT colonoscopy, CT coronary angiography, RF ablation, and is experienced in women’s imaging including mammography and stereotactic procedures.

Patrick is a former Director of Radiology at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital Brisbane and was a member of the medical advisory committee for the same hospital for several years. He has been involved in cancer imaging for many years and was involved in the early stages of the Princess Alexandra Hospital first Multidisciplinary Brain tumour meeting. He was also involved with the great team that established the St Vincent’s Northside Breast Centre.

He was MRI supervising radiologist at both Holy Spirit Northside Hospital (now renamed St Vincent’s Northside Hospital) Chermside and St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital Brisbane. He has been an associate lecturer at James Cook University, University of Queensland and Flinders University helping to train registrars and medical students. He has published research in peer reviewed journals and given national and international teaching and research presentations.

“Dr Pablo Lorenzzoni is an experienced radiologist who earned his medical degree from the Federal University of Health Sciences in Porto Alegre, Brazil, followed by radiology training at the Cardiology Institute – Hospital Ernesto Dornelles. In 2007, he became a Specialist of the Brazilian College of Radiology, and after relocating to Australia in 2017, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.

Dr. Tom Huang

Dr. Tom Huang is a dual-qualified Consultant Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist. Tom completed a PET Fellowship at the Specialised PET Services Queensland based at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in 2009 before further completing his Radiology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2014 and his Nuclear Medicine training in 2016. He is one of a relatively small number of Radiologists in Australia with such qualifications.

He is current a Senior Staff Specialist at Gold Coast University Hospital and was previously held the position of Director of Training. Tom is a subspecialist in cancer imaging and is the imaging lead for many public and private tertiary-level multidisciplinary clinical meetings in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales.

Tom is dedicated to the provision of high-quality, patient-focus diagnostic imaging. He put a personal touch into his practice when interacting with patients and referrers alike.

Dr. John Younger
Cardiologist

Dr. John Younger

Dr John Younger is a clinical cardiologist and Advanced Cardiac Imaging Specialist. He has an active interest in clinical imaging, including echocardiography, stress echo, and TOE, but particularly cardiac CT and cardiac MRI. He is a co-author of the CSANZ position statement on calcium scoring and of the Australia and New Zealand Training guidelines for cardiac MRI.

He is the senior Cardiac Society representative on the Conjoint Committee for CT Coronary Angiography and he is the current president of the ANZ-Cardiac Magnetic Resonance group.
